1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV is the nice option for whom love classic cars because of its original and gorgeous. The 2000 GTV is modern enough to be safe and classic enough to be different.
This is a very special GTV. The 1974 alfa romeo 2000 GTV was introduced in 1971, exclusively in Europe. These cars would not appear in the U.S. market until 1972. The reason for the late arrival was emissions, but Alfa Romeo was able to meet emission requirements by using SPICA fuel injection. The GTV was sold in America until 1974 when regulations for bumpers and emissions were stiffened yet again; but in Europe, it was sold until 1977.
What makes this car be more enjoyed is that it benefits from a recent repaint and mechanical refresh in 2008. The RED repaint is excellent, and the black leather interior looks amazing with a mild patina, the front seats have clearly been recovered. The Alfa is rolling on Cromodora wheels wrapped in Michelin tires. Differentiating the 2000 GTV from the standard two-door Alfa Romeo was the inclusion of fuel injection rather than carburetors, along with a unique grille, available alloy wheels, and special exterior lighting.

This car was also noted for its spirited performance, and the smoothness of its mechanical fuel injection system is immediately apparent when 1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV is fired up the coupe’s 2.0L, four-cylinder engine. Under the bonnet is her original 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine with the Spica fuel injection system. The engine is well sorted, and runs well. She benefits from an MSD ignition system. The 5 speed transmission is excellent and the car runs and drives just as she should. The total mileage indicated on its odometer is only 77,450 and given the condition of the undercarriage, the spare tire well, and the way it runs and drives, there is no reason to doubt this mileage. It runs and drives beautifully! The car was gone through by Alfa Marque specialist Alfas Unlimited. The 2 Liter 4- cylinder engine has great power and torque and the transmission shifts well; the synchros are excellent and she shifts precisely and smoothly. The brakes are strong and smooth and the car stops straight. Steering is excellent, tight and direct. The fact that this particular model still maintains its injection is somewhat of a novelty – not known for its reliability, the system was frequently swapped out by Alfa Romeo drivers seeking a more predictable ownership experience.
Excellent interior with leather and modern engine.
This Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV is a definite driver, a coupe that is meant to be enjoyed on the kind of open two-lane country roads where its siblings made such a mark in international racing and rallying for so many decades. These cars are very well balanced and a lot of fun…the definition of a pure sports car.
